Yolk Property Group is an Australian property developer that focuses on the delivery of sustainable and innovative apartment buildings and land releases, with 115 employees across Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland.
The Evermore WGV apartment development includes 24 apartments and a common area that uses a 54.6 kWh solar and 156 kWh battery hybrid system. Yolk Property Group wanted the Evermore WGV development to reduce the financial burden of owning an apartment. To achieve this goal they wanted to provide the occupants with low-cost renewable energy, as well as simplify and reduce the cost of the energy billing process for strata managers.
Integrating Powerledger’s uGrid platform into the Evermore WGV apartment, reduced the cost of energy through peer-to-peer energy trading. This feature enabled residents to trade energy amongst themselves at better rates than if they simply sold back to the grid. The platform connects directly to each apartment meter, simplifying the billing process for strata managers.
